Biodiversity

Since we have been here, we have seen some interesting wildlife ...

We saw this crittur on the wall of a house on the Fornacetta (it is about 1.5 inches long).  There are 400,000 species of beetle, and I don't know which one this is ...

A cricket on the wall of the house at La Serra.  We see quite a lot of cavaletti (locusts), we hear quite a few cicadas but this is our first cricket

We've only seen one of these so far this time.  (I have to confess that the biodiversity of Barga decreased by 1 soon after this photo was taken!

A spectacular fungus which has just appeared on the roots of one of Pietro's trees - not a healthy sign perhaps?
