Rain and shine

The weather has been pretty poor, but perhaps this is the contrast with last year.  This time we can count the sunny days, whereas, last year, we could count the rainy days!

Unfortunately, it means that even when the rain lets up, the paths are too wet for walking ...

This has been our view (at best!) for weeks now.  

At least the grey sky forms a good backdrop to the oak tree over the road ...

After the rain - on Tuesday, the rain let up, and this house took the chance to dry off the brollies! ...

... while others get the washing dry
